The Nikon Coolpix P1100 Black (VQA170EA) is a compact camera featuring a 1/2.3" CMOS sensor with a resolution of 16 MP. The maximum image size is 4608x3456 pixels. It has a fixed lens with a focal length equivalent of 24 to 3000 mm, offering a 125x optical zoom. The aperture ranges from f/2.8 to f/8, and the minimum focusing distance is 0.5 m.
The supported ISO range is from 100 to 1600, with a minimum shutter speed of 1/4000 s. The white balance can be adjusted automatically or manually (7 presets available). Exposure compensation is ±3 EV in 1/3 steps. Available metering modes include matrix, center-weighted, and spot.
Video recording is possible in MPEG-4 and H.264 formats with a resolution of up to 3840x2160 (30 fps). The viewfinder is electronic, and the 3" tilting LCD display has a resolution of 921600 pixels. Live View is supported.
Focusing is contrast-based, and optical stabilization is present. There is a hot shoe for an external flash, a built-in microphone, and support for SD cards (SDHC, SDXC). Interfaces include USB-C, HDMI, Wi-Fi, and a microphone input. Power is supplied by a Li-Ion battery. The camera weighs 1410 g and measures 146.3x118.8x181.3 mm. Included in the package are a strap, lens cap, lens hood, battery, and USB cable.
